Cal Ripken Limited Edition Set of (3) Baseballs/ Burger King Promo.
This commemorative and limited edition set of (3) baseballs was only available from Burger King Restaurants in the Baltimore area during the 1995 All-Star game period. One ball was available each week over a three (3) week period.
The "By the Numbers" set commemorates Cal Ripkens' achievements and anticipated record setting consecutive games played.
Each ball is titled " Ripken- By the Numbers- Limited Edition" and bears the registered trademarks of MLB, Burger King, and Fotoball.
Each ball is sealed in plastic and has been carefully preserved since 1995. These are very hard to find and a great Ripken Collectible.
Ball #1 is white and displays a picture of Cal in the earlier years of his career and on the back side shows the following stats: (1) Rookie of the Year; All-Star game MVP Award; World Series Ring. (2) AL MVP; Gold Glove Awards. (3) Errors in 1990 (MLB record). (4) Orioles' MVP Awards (12) Consecutive All-Star Games. (95) Consecutive games without an error (MLB record).
Ball #2 is Black and shows the Orioles Script Logo on one side and Ripken #8 on the other.
Ball #3 is white and diplays a picture of Cal during the later years of his career. The reverse side shows the following stats: (302) Homeruns by a shortstop (MLB record). (1,982) consecutive games at one position (MLB record). (8,243) consecutive innings played (MLB record). (2009) consecutive games played (through 1994 season). (2131)"....Another day at the office"
